Bespoke tyre fender solutions to protect quaysides

Tyre fenders are a popular choice for many vessels including tugs, bunker barges and all classes of OSV from small PSVs to large pipe/lay accommodation barges.

Aircraft tyres in particular provide substantial and well proven damage prevention with generous diameter and width, to provide stand-off between vessels. Their inherent strength can be significantly improved when used in conjunction with tyre hanger plates to spread the load, which in turn provides considerably longer service life. Where diameter exceeding 1200mm is required, tractor/earth mover tyres are employed in the same manner.
