Our policy is to ensure that JF Fendercare’s health, safety,  environmental, and quality (HSEQ) procedures continually develop to protect the people, environment, assets and reputation in carrying out ship-to-ship (STS) operations, placing us at the forefront of safety whatever the environment or geographic location.

Exceptional safety

It’s our ambition to pioneer the transfer resources at sea as part of a sustainable supply chain, protecting people and our oceans.

Safety is at the forefront of all that we do and we’re proud to supply high-quality marine products and services to support the needs of our global customers operating in the challenging marine and offshore environments.

Our healthy and safety initiatives

JF Fendercare shares lessons learned from incidents and near misses, and encourages proactive reporting and early interventions to embed safety into our culture. We learn from our customers and the industry – internally and with our STS superintendents, to help embed a strong safety culture, but also at leading STS industry forums.

If just one person changes their behaviour as a result of sharing insights and knowledge and an incident is avoided - either on our own operations or others, then we will have made a valuable contribution.

JF Fendercare's HSEQ and marine assurance team

Our dedicated HSEQ team is experienced and knowledgeable, they are developing and improving our assurance management systems. This enables us to constantly review our HSEQ procedures and take any legislative requirements and industry best practices into account to ensure that the STS operations are carried out to the highest standards anywhere in the world. Because these independent departments operate within our organisation, we are proud to boast a safety record that is second to none.

By continually reviewing and developing our processes we are able to stay at the forefront of HSEQ management.

Environmental responsibility

JF Fendercare undertakes to not only implement measures which prevent pollution but also to continually improve our environmental performance, making aware and encouraging all we work with to consider how they affect the environment.

We’re proud to support the sustainable transition to cleaner sources of energy through the development of LNG ship-to-ship services, as the world’s demand continues to grow.

As part of James Fisher and Sons plc (James Fisher), the group’s focus is to reduce our own carbon footprint by transitioning to low carbon energy sources and alternative fuels, improving our energy efficiency, applying circular economy principles to our operations, and ultimately supporting our customers in doing the same. We comply with all environmental laws and other regulations which form part of our daily operations.
